On November 14th, a grand event focusing on international education cooperation and innovation\u2014the “International Education Innovation and Development Cooperation Seminar” was successfully held at Tsinghua Science Park in Beijing. The seminar was jointly organized by ZHUOER Education, XuetangX, and the Canada-China Business Council (CCBC), with the aim of deepening Sino-Canadian educational cooperation and exploring new pathways for educational innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar was attended by a distinguished group of guests, including Professor Jiaqiang LI, Vice Dean of the Institute for Advanced Study at Tsinghua University and former Chairman of ZHUOER Education; Professor Yushun FAN, Deputy Director of the National CIMS Engineering Technology Research Center at Tsinghua University; Juandi HAO, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office at the Academy of Arts, Tsinghua University; Yingjun ZHANG, General Manager of ZHUOER Education; Hongru LI, Director of International Cooperation at XuetangX; Jeff ZHANG, Director of the Central Region at the CCBC; Cheryl Dumaresq, Executive Director of Global Partnerships at the University of British Columbia; Rikki ZHAO, Director of China Partnerships at the University of Toronto; Jie JIAO, Manager of China Regional International Cooperation Affairs at the University of Ottawa; William Cheaib, Vice President of International Affairs at Concordia University, and over 40 representatives from Canada universities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Professor Jiaqiang LI, Vice Dean of the Institute for Advanced Study at Tsinghua University and the former Chairman of ZHUOER Education, delivered the opening speech and warmly welcoming the guests in attendance. He outlined the seminar’s objective of promoting deep cooperation and innovation between China and Canada in the field of education. He stressed that, in the context of globalization, international education cooperation has become a key pathway for driving educational innovation and enhancing education quality. He expressed the hope that through this seminar, both sides could deepen their level of cooperation, work together to cultivate talent with an international vision and innovative spirit, and contribute to the prosperous development of education in both countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Professor Yushun\u00a0FAN,\u00a0Deputy Director of the National CIMS Engineering Technology Research Center\u00a0at Tsinghua University, presented the latest research achievements of Tsinghua University in the field of automation. He expressed the hope that the seminar\u00a0would further advance exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of science and technology, contributing jointly to technological progress and social development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Juandi\u00a0HAO, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office at the Academy of Arts\u00a0in\u00a0Tsinghua University. She\u00a0shared the academy’s educational experiences and international cooperation achievements in areas such as cultural creativity and art design. She emphasized that interactive learning and innovative collaboration are vital forces in promoting social innovation and cultural exchange. At the end of speech, she expressed her anticipation for deeper cooperation and exchange with\u00a0Canadian universities\u00a0in relevant fields.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jeff ZHANG, the Regional Director for Central Canada at the CCCBC, emphasized that CCBC has long been dedicated to building bridges for China-Canada business exchanges. He expressed that this seminar provides a new platform for cooperation in the education sector and looks forward to achieving new breakthroughs in educational collaboration, contributing to the prosperity and development of both countries’ educational fields.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cheryl Dumaresq, Executive Director of Global Partnerships at the University of British Columbia; Rikki ZHAO, Director of China Partnerships at the University of Toronto; Jie JIAO, Manager of China Regional International Cooperation Affairs at the University of Ottawa; and William Cheaib, Vice President of International Affairs at Concordia University. Each of them shared their respective universities’ practical achievements and valuable experiences in educational innovation during the seminar. They expressed a strong willingness to engage in long-term cooperation with Chinese institutions in areas such as academic exchange, faculty and student visits, and research on educational innovation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hongru LI, Director of International Cooperation at XuetangX, introduced the efforts and achievements of XuetangX in using artificial intelligence technology to provide innovative and high-quality online courses for global learners. She expressed XuetangX\u2019s willingness to deepen cooperation with Canadian universities, jointly develop high-quality online courses, and promote the global sharing and exchange of educational resources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Yingjun ZHANG, General Manager of ZHUOER Education, shared the development journey of ZHUOER Education since its establishment in 2003, highlighting the company\u2019s deep engagement and expertise in the field of international education, as well as the wealth of resources and experience it has accumulated over the years. He pointed out that the global education ecosystem is undergoing an unprecedented transformation, but innovation and cooperation remain the core driving forces of educational progress. He expressed hope that this seminar could serve as a bridge to strengthen cooperation with Canadian educational institutions, jointly leading the trend of educational innovation and promoting the continuous advancement of the education sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

During the open discussion session, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as specific pathways for educational innovation, cooperation models, and the challenges faced. The successful hosting of this seminar has not only provided a new opportunity for Sino-Canadian cooperation in the field of education but also injected new vitality into the development of education in both countries.
